We are proud of our diverse portfolio, encompassing disaster philanthropy initiatives, technical assistance for nonprofits, innovative fund development strategies, and more.

Oregon Disaster Funders Network

Kelley Nonprofit Consulting proudly manages the Oregon Disaster Funders Network on behalf of our clients The Ford Family Foundation and Roundhouse Foundation. This initiative fosters greater cohesion within the sector, uniting approximately 35 foundations to champion response, recovery, and resilience efforts across Oregon and beyond. Through regular monthly meetings, the Network remains vigilant and responsive, swiftly mobilizing to address acute disaster needs as they arise. Most recently, the Network lent crucial support to individuals impacted by the Golden Fire in Klamath County, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to community well-being in times of crisis.

Business Oregon Rural Opportunities Initiative

We introduced the "Cash + Capacity Technical Assistance" model, a hallmark of our strategic services. One  application of this model is our collaboration with Business Oregon's Rural Opportunities Initiative. Kelley Nonprofit Consulting provides strategy and capacity support to the initiative's 10-20 grantees per biennium, empowering them with tailored assistance in various domains such as funding, impact evaluation, capital projects, financial management, communications, and board development.

This holistic approach, blending financial resources with capacity-building initiatives, epitomizes Kelley Nonprofit Consulting’s commitment to developing sustainable organizations. Its success has not only propelled the Rural Opportunities Initiative forward but has also inspired replication across numerous nonprofit, philanthropic, and government sector clients, underscoring its effectiveness and adaptability in diverse contexts.

The Village with POIC + RAHS

Kelley Nonprofit Consulting deployed its "cash + capacity" model to secure over $6 million in public and private funding for POIC+RAHS and support the launch of The Village. This initiative provided direct cash grants to over two dozen smaller Black-led and -serving nonprofits along with curated capacity support provided by the Kelley Nonprofit Consulting team. This program amplifies the grassroots strategies of these recipients to build community safety and resilience to address gun violence and complement POIC+RAHS’s hospital-based intervention programs. This program has expanded statewide and is now in its third year of providing funding and capacity through POIC+RAHS’ and Kelley Nonprofit Consulting’s partnership.

Community Rebuilding Fund

Kelley Nonprofit Consulting served as Project Manager for the Community Rebuilding Fund, orchestrating the distribution of nearly $12 million in pooled funds alongside esteemed partners such as the Oregon Community Foundation, The Ford Family Foundation, Meyer Memorial Trust, and the American Red Cross. From collaborating with survivors to develop strategic approaches for fund accessibility to optimizing the impact of state and federal resources, we are reshaping disaster philanthropy in Oregon.

We are your comprehensive partner in creating a positive impact.
